New Silicone Pastry
Brushes: Look for these easy to clean, high-temp resistant,
silicone pastry brushes. They're easy to clean (they'll keep their shape
in the dishwasher) and versatile.
Kitchen Turntables: Available in a
variety of sizes, with or without skid proof rubber coating, these
turntables make a variety of kitchen tasks extremely easy. From decorating
cakes to filling a pie, from easy mixing to plating a gourmet meal - these
are must!
French Rolling Pins: Quite different
from their American counterparts we find standard in most home kitchens,
these solid piece, tapered pins are absolutely great for rolling dough -
and the tapered design aids in making the perfect round of dough for pies
and gallettes.
Enamel Cast Iron Dutch Ovens: Look
for these pans in the kitchen aisles of discount stores so you can
experience their great heat retention and easy clean-up. They're heavy,
colorful and can even make a great statement left out on the counter or
back of the range.
Silicone Hot Pads in Perky Colors:
Heat resistant to temps of at least 450 degrees Fahrenheit, these hot
pads come in a variety of colors and are super easy to clean, are
obviously great for retrieving hot pans from the oven, but they are also
wonderful for providing a non-skid surface under work bowls, cutting
boards, etc.
Good Ole Fashioned Aprons: If your an
"and she cooks, too!" girl, you've gotta have an apron. If you don't
already have one of these kitchen essentials (and often garden essentials
around our house), once you don one, you won't be able to go back. They
make throwing together a quick meal as soon as you get home from a busy
day a breeze because you won't have to worry about changing as soon as you
get in the door, and when you're enjoying a leisurely weekend in the
kitchen you'll look like all of the pros you're tuning into on the Food
Network.
