  Sugar Plums

Flavored with brandy or your favorite nut liqueur or extracts, these little gems of dried fruits and nuts are festive for the holidays.

1 cups chopped, pitted prunes (dried plums)
1 cup golden raisins
1-cup dried fruits such as apricots, figs, apples, etc.
1-cup almonds, toasted
3-4 tbs brandy, nut liqueur or extract
tsp salt
cup superfine sugar

(Variation, omit sugar and melt 1 cup of white chocolate)

Place all of the ingredients, except sugar or white chocolate, into a bowl of a food processor and pulse until it forms a thick paste.  Wet hands and form into 1-inch balls, then roll in sugar or dip in melted white chocolate.

Store at room temperature, should be made at least 24-hours in advance (they get better with age.) Consume within two weeks.  

Yields approximately 3 dozen candies.
