Similar to the popular Spanish tapa of paprika-flavored, roasted almonds,
pasa tempos is a popular street food in Greece with vendors offering bags
of hot roasted seeds, nuts and chestnuts to passersby.
¾ cup, roasted and salted pumpkin seeds
1 cup, roasted and salted sunflower seeds
¼ cup raw sesame seeds
2 tbs olive oil
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp dried sage
1 tsp dried oregano
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil. Toss all of
the ingredients together and spread evenly onto the foil-lined sheet. Bake
for 20-30 minutes, stirring frequently until the sesame seeds are browned
and the seasoning has coated the seeds well. Serve hot or at room
temperature.
